Rated 5 out of 5 by Best cooler ever Bought this during the hot season 3 months ago. Very portable, works great! Saves on central air bill! We turned off the AC and just used this machine. It cools the whole room (lg room) without cooling the whole house where were not at. Just roll to any room needed and it cools that room. We use it daily and have only filled it 3 times in 3 months. I love it! Great buy. July 20, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by nice and cool yes, you can use it in a small room, but it very noisy July 4, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not as advertised. Runs and I'm still checking for performance. Writing to advise that it came with no remote or manual. August 6, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by cool blast my uit is not that noisy. myissue is with the tank capacity and the manual. the manual says the tank holds 6.6 gals. not even close. I put in 2 gallons and the tank was full. listed as 10L. that's about 2.5 gal. May 28, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love This Product I work in a building that has no air conditioning. I bought this to use at work in the summer heat but at the end of summer, I began to use it at home as an air cleaner and it does a fantastic job. Rather than melting ice in it I use frozen ice packs and there is no mess because the water evaporates as the unit runs. It does not leak. I am considering a second unit. December 6, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Waste of money We bough this for our small bedroom as we do not have air conditioning. the total temperature dropped a whopping one degree in a 2 hour period and the smell from the water evaporation was disgusting If all you want to do is add more humidity to a dry room then fine, you can do that with a bowl of water. and save on electricity. it is loud and annoying and was not worth the money we spent. The only reason I did not return it was the cost of sending back this large unit. It is a pain to empty, I keep mine in a plastic storage box on the floor in the event of a water leak. They tell you to add ice if you want it to be even cooler, I do fill with cold water from a jug in the refrigerator, adding ice changed nothing. The noise kept us awake. It now sits in my son's garage. Just in case someone who lives in a desert want more humidity in a room. Since we no one in a desert, it will soon be part of the garbage collection. They need to label it by the correct name, it is a swamp cooler. August 27, 2014

About how long does it take to cool small bedroom, and is it messy?
Gidget on Apr 22, 2015
BEST ANSWER: My bedroom is about 10' x 12', and it never cools it down. It will cool me down if I point it right at me, so that's what I do. If you are careful, you can fill it without making a mess, but it takes being slow and using the right kind of water transfer method.
where do you put the ice into the box?
A shopper on Apr 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: On the left side of the unit. The same place you put the water.

Does it need to be vented to the outside?
A shopper on May 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No, just place the cooler in front of an open door or window. Ensure that there is adequate cross ventilation in the room by leaving a door or window open opposite the cooler. The cooler should not be used in enclosed spaces.
where does water bottles insert and do u add ice to the water?
A shopper on May 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The water bottles which have frozen water inside, hang on the outside in front of the vent so the air coming out is cooled. I don't use them very often; adding ice cubes directly to the water tank is easier and seems to be more effective. Ed

water leaks from the back, why??? it has ruined my floor
millie on Sep 23, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have two of these, one in my master bathroom. If you turn OFF the Cooler ION, that should stop the water from leaking or spraying. I would only use that if I had the unit outside. Also, you'll want to ensure that you don't overfill the water tray. Good luck. Hope these tips help.
A shopper on Jun 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It lists 60 watts.
my cooler started leaking water and spraying it out the back. What's wrong?
donnarpate@gmail.com p on Nov 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: There is a plastic hose inside the unit that water runs through it. The plastic hose is attached to the cooling system with a small metal clasp. I believe your metal clasp may have come loose. First drain the water from the bottom in your bathtub or sink. Then remove the screws from the back panel so that you can remove the panel and reattach the little clasp. I hope this works for you.

BEST ANSWER: It's electric. I returned it as It didn't work in the room I was using.
Is there a on red light for the cooler ion?
Theresa S on Sep 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes Teresa there is a red light for the cooler ion, all of the settings have red lights to show they are on. Currently we have five cool blast and are grateful for the added cool air here in Texas. I plan to order one more in the future, if we do not purchase a new H-Vac system. Right now the five coolers plus one powerful window unit are our only source of cool air and it has been sufficient. The only reason I plan to order one more is because I do not like having to move the units around, instead I put them where they are most efficient. You can also run the unit without the ion however the air is not as cool. One person should be in charge of filling the coolers with water so you know when they will need water again and do not have top keep up with different levels in every room. I do wish the pumps lasted longer however, like I stated you can run the unit without the ion (water pump) system. They tend to leak if the pump have gone out.
If I don't have cross ventilation, can I still use this?
Amy D on Jun 13, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes you can. I run my central air but my upstairs stays too warm. I run this upstairs and add ice cubes and it is awesome!!!! Really cools the room down so well I shut the ac off at night and just run my cool blast. Well worth the money!!!
Do you just pour the water in the side?
Cynthia W on Jul 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it is that simple. And adding ice cubes according to the directions makes all the difference.
can i used in a closed smalll room?
A shopper on Jul 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have been using this in my dining room, which is not a large room. I have not used it with water and ice cubes to make the room cooler, altho I have been tempted.. . . I have been weary of possible leaks on the wooden floor. Also, I currently use the manual buttons on the cooler rather use the hand-held remote control. I don't know if this is helpful in your decision making to purchase or not, as I like it that it is portable and quiet.
your site says you have different colors. what are the different colors it comes in?
A shopper on Sep 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: same color.but!!??product it so poor quality! just 3 months of used . "water pump it stop working"!!!.do not buy these product.
where draine plag?
A shopper on Aug 17, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The drain plug is at the bottom of the unit. Put the unit in the bathtub or in the sink and then remove the plug. Be sure to hold onto the plug so that you can put it back after you drain it.
There are two bottles with a grainy substance in them included with the unit. Any idea what these bottles are for?
Kathy P on Aug 12, 2015
BEST ANSWER: You freeze the bottles, then you put them in the cool blast ( we attach a string to the bottle before putting it in the side compartment) They are what gives you the cool air.
The fan runs but the water will not circulate. How do I get the water to circulate?
Yolanda P on Jul 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: with the fan running, push the cooler/ion button and the water should circulate. Make sure there is sufficient water in the bottom of the unit.
Is there a reset button? My buttons started going from low on up then off. Cant get any of the other buttons to work. Had a power surge earlier so was thinking reset button?
A shopper on Jun 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: if the power surge caused the unit to malfunction I think you should call the company. They might have a suggestion on what can be done. I have this unit and I do not recall seeing a reset button. Good Luck
A shopper on Jun 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: When I run the Cool Blast during the day and my air conditioner at night, I have only seen a slight increase in the monthly electric bill.
Can u use any type of water?
A shopper on May 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I haven't used mine yet, but the instruction booklet does not specify, so I believe regular tap water. It does suggest putting ice cubes in it, (which may be bothersome)...
how do you empty the thing?
A shopper on Sep 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: There is a plug on the bottom that can be removed to let water drain. I drain mine over a plastic container, or put in tub or shower to drain.
What really happened do some of the coolers are defective.? So far many customers are satisfied.
A shopper on Sep 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: My cooler came with the pump in a state that seemed defective at first, but turns out that a part had somehow fallen out/off of it during transit. Put it back together and it works alright.

While I can say that the cooler does work, it's not very good at actually cooling down a full room, even a moderate one like my 10' x 12' bedroom. It does pretty good cooling YOU down, if it's blowing right on you.

The swing function works and is nice. The horizontal vertical-flow direction fins are a disappointment, It's either pointing at an upward or downward angle - with where the pivot point is on the fins (all the way at their backmost point), the weight of the fins causes them to angle down whenever I try to point them parallel to the ground.

Filling the water chamber is a bit tedious. If I pour water in too fast, it splashes from hitting the bottom of the hinged side access port and comes out around the opening flap. That is to say, water goes under the flap from the inside-side and out onto the floor. A few minor changes would fix that, but I don't have the parts for that, so I just fill it slowly.

The fan is only moderately powerful. But worse, the absorbent material seems to block a lot of the airflow as it attempts to evaporate water into the air to cool it down. When it comes time to replace it (and it will eventually happen), I plan to get a different, more efficient material. This is just a mini swamp cooler, so I'll get some of the good stuff for that, and hope to see some vast improvements.
